The aim of Abbeycrest is to provide its residents with an enjoyable, relaxing, quiet and fun life and give the best service for them and their families. From attractive gardens to a range of activities such as a cinema club, reflexology and spa, flower arranging, knitting club and more, residents can choose to plan their days doing what they love.
As part of the Aria group’s £18 million revival project, Abbeycrest received a makeover which has transformed the home. This included creating stunning day spaces, bistro and beautiful bedrooms for improved comfort. The homely and tasteful décor balances thoughtful furnishings with comfort, elegance and functionality for varying resident needs.
Opera was chosen to support the refurbishment project, providing our profiling care beds to the new suites available. The team at Abbeycrest used our bespoke design service to create their perfect nursing beds to cater to their residents, whilst complimenting with the beautiful décor inside the home.
Our Solo Comfort Profiling Beds were specified to accompany the new suites in the home. The beds were selected in our 3ft 6 and 4ft size to suit varying resident preferences and comfort. The nursing beds were upholstered in our bespoke Agua Tones Pebble fabric which perfectly match the existing furniture within the bedrooms. Meanwhile, the Emerald headboard adds a homely yet stylish touch to the beds to provide a cosy environment for residents to enjoy.
The Solo Comfort offers an all-in-one height adjustment, where the bed raises up to carers waist level and lowers right down to just 11cm of the floor. This makes the bed an ideal choice for varying resident care needs, and can support caregivers to deliver expectational care at a safe working height.
The team chose our Serene mattresses and Impulse Hybrid mattresses for the profiling beds which deliver effective pressure care treatment and prevention. The Impulse Hybrid Mattress is a ideal solution for high-risk residents with advanced pressure care needs. Thanks to the dynamic air cells, the Impulse responds to the users weight to deliver the optimum amount of airflow through its air cells. Meanwhile, the super-quiet pump is designed to be subtle and discreet for residents.
For the finishing touch, our Premium Overbed Tables in bespoke Nordic Oak wood colour were chosen for the beds. Offering functionality and convenience, our overbed tables are popular within care homes and offer height adjustment to perfect match the bed height.
